                               ChiBall

The ChiBall MethodTM is a holistic exercise programme that harmonises the body, balances the mind and clams the spirit. It is a unique blend of colour, aromatherapy, Traditional Chinese Medicine, and a synergy of six ancient and modern movement disiplines, Tai chi - Qi Gong, ChiBall Dance, Yoga, Pilates, Feldenkrais and Relaxation.

By tailoring the ChiBall Mthod to the natural cycle of The Seasons, participants enjoy a journey towards harmony, balance and wellbing.

The ChiBall method:
  • Trims, tomes and detoxifies the whole body, promoting weight loss
  • Improves posture, strength, flexibility and cardiovascular fitness
  • disperses stress and tension
  • boosts your immune system
  • allows you to discover the connection between your mind-body-spirit

Practitioner feature:

Krystal Lutze

Chi Ball Instructor

The ChiBall Method is something I am very passionate about because I, personally, have experienced its therapeutic and healing qualities.  Suffering from anxiety and depression, ChiBall has played an integral role in my recovery. After being discharged from hospital, I hoped to continue practicing ChiBall but was disappointed to discover that there were no ChiBall Instructors in the Western Suburbs of Melbourne. This, however, inspired me to train in the Method and it has been the most amazing journey for me, allowing me to find my purpose, direction and an inner peace.

The balance and calmness I feel after participating in a class is something that I cannot describe. I am so excited about sharing this unique modality with you so you too can experience its amazing benefits.

Health and happiness,

Krystal

Yoga Tip:

Head to Knee pose
Head to knee pose is an obvious hamstring stretch, a lot of us have been taught this stretch through sports at school and attending gyms.  It's the typical 'touch your toes stretch".  However, as simple as it seems, it is very important that in the pose we keep our shoulders square and chest open, to allow the breath to move freely in the lungs.  Take a breath in and exhale as you reach for your leg and keep the floot flexed, and toes working up to the ceiling,.  This allows us to engage our entire leg muscle.  Make sure you are sitting evenly on your bottom before you come into the pose. In this pose your breath should be normal and relaxed.
As you can see in the picture I have open shoulders, and my upper back is not rounded.  If you attempt to touch your toe, and your back begins to round you have come too far for your flexibility and need to bring it back and open the shoulders.  If you can't touch your toes, thats OK, just place your hands on either side of the floor to keep your shoulders square.
This is a great hamstring stretch and lower back stretch.  It sends blood flow to the kidneys, and gives the spine a nice long position and stretch.  This pose can be done at anytime you feel comfortable and you can stay in it as long as you like.  Any type of forward bend is great for females during the menstrual cycle, and a good restorative pose.  It rests and massages the heart, and activates a sluggish liver.  Do not do this pose after an asthma attack or if you have chest infections.

Reiki Courses - Dates for 2010:
With Cassandra

Reiki is a Japanese word that means "Universal Life Energy".  This energy runs through all living beings and is also known as light, chi, prana, cosmic energy, life force.  Reiki healers are attuned to the Reiki energy and this allows them to become a channel for this energy in order to use it for healing.  This energy amplifies the flow of energy through your body and raises the vibrational rate of the energy in the body, clearing away energy that is no longer beneficial  and creating a wonderful feeling of relaxation and lightness.  The Centre offers 1 day workshops to teach you how to do your own Reiki helaing:

Reiki 1:        Saturday 10th April
                      Saturday 10th July
                      Saturday 9th October

Reiki 2:        Saturday 27th March
                     Saturday 26th June
                     Saturday 25th September

Masters:     Saturday 13th March
                    Saturday 12th June
                    Saturday 11th September

Meditation tip:

The best time to meditate:

In general it is best to meditate early in the morning directly after wakening and before starting your day.  Early morning generally has fewer distractions than later in the day.

Lepidolite

Lepidolite has a granular appearance, and it often contains sparklings of mica.  Lepidolite has only become easily obtainable in the last ten years: it is now sourced principally from theUSA, Africa andBrazil.  Its pink - purple colour links it to the heart chakra, and it releases the energy of love throughout the energy field.  With its high lithium content, it is also advised for mental stress and overload, or other conditions such as hyperactivity and ADD.

Physical/emotional uses:  Soothes frought nerves and eases extreme mental stress or tension, brings peace, calm and a feeling of security, helps insomnia caused by mental overload or an inability to switch the mind off, relieves exhaustion, whether physical, mental or emotional, helps relieve depression and uplifts the mind.

Healing effects:  Place on the solar plexus chakra to ease levels of physical stress, or place over the heart and third eye to ease mental and emotional pressure.  Taking a bath with lepidolite is a relaxing way to enjoy its stress-relieving properties.

Personal uses: Carry to help cope with pressures that cause anxiety.  Place in your home to balance the energy and create a peaceful space.
